Cariboo Cruises To 3-1 Victory Over Canadians

The Cariboo Cougars continue to stay on top as the best club in the BCMML with another solid 3-1 victory Saturday over the Greater Vancouver Canadians in Richmond.

The Cougars had three different goal scorers in the win including Reid Perepeluk, Mason Richey, and Jeremy Gervais. Perepeluk opened up the scoring in the first period thanks to feeds from Daine Dubois and Trey Thomas.

In the second period, Devin Sutton was able to set up Richey and Brendan Malgunas got the assist on Gervais’ goal.

Unfortunately, Cariboo goalie Zach Wickson wasn’t able to keep his three game shut-out streak alive, but he only conceded one goal in the third period to Scott Atkinson of the Canadians.

Cariboo improves to 13-1-1 on the season, while Greater Vancouver falls to 10-5-1-1.

Both teams will play each other again at 10 a.m. Sunday in Richmond
