Cats Add Impact Defenseman Brendan Guhle From Prince Albert

Prince George, BC, Canada / CKPG News

After the game, the Cougars made a splash, acquiring Raiders star defenseman Brendan Guhle in exchange for Max Martin, Kolby Johnson, a 2018 1st round pick, and a 2019 3rd round pick. The 6’3 defender is a 2nd round pick (51st overall) of the Buffalo Sabres in the 2014 draft. The 1997 born rearguard has twice represented the Western Hockey League in the CHL/Russia series, and has four points in six career AHL games. Coach Richard Matvichuk says this is a sign that the Cougars are all in.
