Drivers using the Salmon River Bridge may notice something may be a little off. Twenty metres off that is. Over the weekend work crews closed Highway 97 for several hours as they slowly moved the one million pound bridge twenty metres downstream. According to officials, the bridge took just under two hours to move with a winch and cable system. The bridge is located 27 kilometers north of the city. It will be used until a new bridge is constructed in the fall of next year.
