BC  Coroners  Service  ID's  Man Who Died  In  Police  Custody

51-year-old Jamie Shanoss, a member of the Gitxsan Nation, has been identified by the  BC  Coroners  Service as the man who died while in cells at the Prince George RCMP Detachment early Monday morning . Shanoss was found unresponsive and could not be resuscitated a few hours after being taken into custody for allegedly being drunk in a public place . The coroners service and independent investigation office are looking into the death.
