Mounties in Quesnel closed off a a couple of streets and evacuated some residents to deal with what they termed as a high risk search warrant Thursday. Police cut access to Veneer Road and Plywood Road at the south end of the city for several hours. Eventually RCMP arrested two Quesnel residents, a 22 year old female and a 37 year old male. They’re recommending robbery and firearms charges for the two. Police say the closures and evacuations were done as a precautionary measure for public safety.
