The Cariboo Cougars bolstered their lineup today, with the return of forward Ty Kolle from the Portland Winterhawks. The powerful forward’s play improved every game last year, and he figures to play a big role in the Cats march towards the Telus Cup. Kolle, who is just 16 years old, was drafted by the Hawks in the fourth round of the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft. Last season, with the Cariboo Cougars, he scored 11 goals and added 18 assists in 40 games, including a five goal breakout performance against the Thompson Blazers. The native of Quesnel won’t turn 17 until April.
