Spruce Kings Fall Short To Grizzlies

The Prince George Spruce Kings fell short Friday night en-route to a 4-1 loss to the Victoria Grizzlies at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.

A late goal by Tyler Welsh for the Grizzlies put Victoria up 1-0 with just 20 seconds left in the first period. In the second period, Welsh netted a second goal to put the Grizzlies up by two heading into the third.

The Spruce Kings would battle back on the power-play as Tyler Anderson snuck a puck past Grizzlies goalie Matthew Galajda, but it wouldn’t be enough to make a comeback.

The Spruce Kings now sit third place in the Mainland Division and will take on the Langley Rivermen just four points behind them in the standings for a pair of games this Thirsday and Friday at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.
