Sprague Using Cougars Experience On Cariboo Bench

Prince George, BC, Canada / CKPG News

The Cariboo Cougars are tops in the BC Major Midget League, sitting pretty with a 17-2-1 record. Trevor Sprague, who is the reigning BCMML Coach of the Year, spent time with the WHL’s Prince George Cougars this season, and talked about what he has taken from that experience in the Western Hockey League to the Cariboo bench. Sprague, who has twice won the BCMML Coach of the Year, has also served as a scout for the Cougars for a number of years. His focus with the Cariboo Cougars is the upcoming Mac’s tournament and 2017 Telus Cup, but he says he enjoyed coaching Cariboo alum like Justin Almeida, Brogan O’Brien, and Brad Morrison.
