While they refuse to link any of the fires together, Mounties are concerned a firebug may be at work in Prince George. A house on Nixon Crescent burned early Saturday morning in the fourth residential fire in four days.
Just a few days earlier, a vehicle and a carport at the same house were lost in a blaze.
“Police are deeply concerned about the recent string of suspicious fires” says Cpl. Craig Douglass, spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP. “Although we cannot say that these fires are connected, we are looking into any possible connections that these residences or the persons in them may have.”
Mounties are hopeful someone in the public will provide them with a tip. You can contact Prince George RCMP at (250)561-3300 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477, online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca, or Text-A-Tip to CRIMES (274637) using keyword “pgtips”.
