Seniors Hamper Drive A Huge Success

It was a great day for the Council of Seniors. A cube van packed to the roof pulled up to the Seniors Resource Centre, laden with non-perishable food items and other life necessities. The local detachment of the RCMP when to all four Save-On Foods locations last weekend for the “Pack A PC” event and received hundreds of pounds of food and $3,500 in coupons and gift cards.
Council President Ginnie Parsons says it will cover the 250-plus hamper requests that came to the Resource Centre.
And to add to the gracious gift, the local RCMP have committed to doing “Pack A PC” every year.
The Council is also asking for volunteers to come to the Centre on Thursday to help pack the hampers for delivery this coming weekend.
