The Nechako River is continuing to rise through Prince George. The City has closed part of it’s heritage trail from the Boat Launch west to the Cameron Street bridge for public safety reasons. The level of the ice has now risen to levels as high as the trail in some places. The jam continues to remain in place at the confluence with the Fraser River. No homes have been impacted at this point however the level of concern is rising. The City is expected to release more information on the situation later today.
