All Is Quiet Along Nechako

While the ice jam along the Nechako River remains in place, water levels in the river remain lower than they were, when compared to late last week.

An Emergency Operations Centre remains active, in case water levels begin to rise again.

City workers spent part of their day attempting to open a back channel through Cottonwood Island Park, in hopes it can relieve some of the pressure.

With daytime temperatures near the freezing levels over the next few days, officials are hopeful Mother Nature will do her part to clear up the jam.
