Police attended a collision involving a pedestrian yesterday at approximately 4:40 p.m. at the corner of Queensway and Connaught Drive. A volunteer reported the incident to police and initiated first aid on the 50 year old male that was struck. Police and other emergency services attended the scene. The pedestrian was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The pedestrian said he was not using a crosswalk and advised police he was in a hurry. Police would like to remind pedestrians to wear reflective clothing, use marked crosswalks and always make eye contact with drivers before attempting to cross streets.
