Thanks to the good hearted efforts of a resident, a Trumpeter Swan now has a new lease on life. Prince George Conservation Officer Service received a call late Monday from a person concerned with a Swan in distress and worried it would not survive the winter. The swan was found by a forestry worker in a clearing, Southwest of Prince George near Norman lake. The CO’s noticed the animal was dragging its wing and the odds of it surviving the winter was slim. Once stabilized, the swan was flown to a rehab centre in Victoria, where it will have a chance to mend.
