The Salvation Army is warning Prince George residents of a phone scam. Some have received a phone call from someone claiming to be with the organization, asking for credit card information.
The Business Manager of the Prince George Salvation Army, Bill Glasgow, says “We got a phone call today from one of our donors saying that he was contacted by somebody claiming to be from the Salvation Army. They wanted to get his credit card information because his credit card donation did not go through. We would not call a donor asking for their credit card information. We just want to make sure the public knows that we aren’t contacting people asking for their credit card information. If there’s a problem we will send you a letter.”
