Mounties Arrest Wanted Persons

Local Mounties have a wanted man and woman in custody after they attempted to flee police.

Around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, police located and arrested 28 year old, Cole Aubichon and 21 year old Cree Parenteau on outstanding arrest warrants. Police say Aubichon and Parenteau were seen exiting a vehicle on the 2200 block of Oak Street. Aubichon fled on foot into a nearby alley, while Parenteau was arrested shortly after falling.

A Police Service Dog Team attended the area to assist. Police Service Dog ‘Dero’ was deployed and tracked Aubichon to a residence on the 2100 block of Norwood Street. Aubichon failed to comply with police commands, was arrested, and taken into custody with minor bit wounds.  Both suspects are well known to police.

AUBICHON is wanted on the following Criminal Code charges:

  • Fail to Comply with Probation (4 counts)
  • Fail to Comply with Undertaking (3 counts)
  • Obstructing a Peace Officer (2 counts)
  • Theft under $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Possession of Break-in Instruments

PARENTEAU is was wanted on the following Criminal Code charges:

  • Theft under $5000 (2 counts)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (2 counts)
  • Possession of Break-in Instruments
  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance (4 counts)

Aubichon and Parenteau have both been remanded into custody with addition charges still possible for both. Aubichon will appear in court Friday January 6th, while Parenteau will make her court appearance on Thursday January 7th.
