Think you’re good at curling? Imagine what it’s like to do it without being able to see. It’s certainly an incredible feat and this weekend teams from across the province will be doing just that at the Blind curling provincials set to kick off at the Prince George Golf & Curling Club. Four teams are competing this year from Kelowna, Vancouver, 100 Mile House and Prince George. It all kicks off on Saturday morning with an opening ceremony at 9:30 with the oldest member of the PG Senior League, 85 year old Henry Engiljord throwing the first stone. The PG team has been practicing hard and hopes to push forward to bigger bonspiel events this season.
