Kings Gear Up For Homestand

The Prince George Spruce Kings are back in town following a three game road trip. The Kings dropped the first two games to Powell River and Port Alberni by scores of 10-4, and 4-1 respectively. They finished the trip off with a 4-1 win in Nanaimo.

Spruce Kings head coach Chad van Dieman wasn’t very pleased about how the team preformed on the trip, however he was happy with how the Kings finished of the trip in Nanaimo. “Our penalty kill was pretty solid and our power play was able to get three goals, so  it was a huge bounce back game.”

The Kings kick off a 3 game home stand at Rolling Mix Concrete Arena tonight against the Vernon Vipers. After a two game set against Chilliwack on Friday, and Saturday, the Kings are back on the road for an 8 game trip starting in Wenatchee.
