Prince George, BC, Canada / CKPG News

A five-year old by the name of Olivia Frost has been battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia since March of 2016. She is still undergoing daily chemotherapy treatments, along with regular blood treatments, and more intense chemotherapy once a month in Vancouver.

The UNBC Timberwolves along with the UNBC Commerce Students Society have joined togeth to create a new initiative that will lend a helping hand to those in need.  The initiative is called the “MVP of the month”. January’s MVP is Olivia Frost.

Money raised at this weekend’s 50/50 draws, and a bottle drive which will take place later this month will all go to the cause. The money will be split between Olivia and children’s cancer research.

T-Wolves soccer player and Commerce Students Society board member Francesco Bartolillo knew when he met Olivia, the board had made the right choice. “It maskes you realize that there are bigger things in life, and people are facing massive challenges every day.”
