The Prince George Cougars finished off their four game Alberta road trip in Calgary last night. The Cats strolled into the Saddledome having gone 2-1 on the road trip, looking to make it 3-1 against a Hitmen team who were looking to win their second straight.
Josh Maser got the Cougars on the board with his 3rd of the year just over two minutes into the game. Mark Kastelic would knot the game up for the Hitmen 8 minutes later, however the Cats headed into the locker room ahead 2-1 with a Brad Morrison tally with 7 minutes left in the period.
The second wasn’t the Cougars period as the Hitmen scored two more, including a power play goal by Jake Bean. Calgary closed out the second period with their first lead of the game 3-2.
The final frame was a different story as Jansen Harkins scored two straight goals in a 6 minute span to put the Cats back in front 4-3. Radovan Bondra playing his 3rd game with the Cats scored what would be the game winner with just over 3 minutes remaining in the game.
The Cougars close out the road trip going 3-1, they are back in Prince George to take on the Portland Winterhawks in game one of a two game set on Tuesday.
