Gnats Train Indoor Preparing for Sevens Competition

Prince George, BC, Canada / CKPG News

With their fields frozen over, rugby clubs in the north have to seek shelter inside, and the PG Gnats Rugby Club did just that at NSC. This weekend kicked off their indoor training schedule as the club begins to prepare for ‘sevens’ competition in the spring. Their first tournament is at the end of April in Jasper, before setting their sights to Edmonton. Come summer time, the Gnats are looking to climb the league ladder in the north this year, and will need to be sharp as they take on Williams Lake, Prince Rupert, and defending provincial third division champs, Terrace. The club keeps an open door policy on their training, and is always looking for new members.
