Library To Offer Online Courses

A new service offered by the Prince George Public Library gives library cardholders access to over 300 free online courses. The first of the six-week instructor-led courses begin tomorrow, with new courses beginning on the third Wednesday of each month.
“Part of our mission at the Prince George Public Library is to inspire and engage life-long learning in our community,” said Chief Librarian, Janet Marren. “Residents will be able to enroll in courses covering all types of topics and subjects for both personal and professional development.”
Patrons can explore a diverse range of courses covering everything from health and wellness to creative writing, computer programming, and much more. The courses are entirely web-based with comprehensive lessons, quizzes, and assignments. A dedicated professional instructor coordinates every course by pacing learners, answering questions, giving feedback, and facilitating discussions.
