Schools from all around our region met this weekend at PGSS where the Polars hosted their annual wrestling tournament. While high school competitors dominated the gym on Saturday, Friday night was all about elementary, and we caught up with second year wrestler Devin Elliott on what it’s like to step on the mats. The competition was moved due to a scheduling conflict, but served well to cap off the local elementary wrestling season. Over sixty athletes battled for medals on Friday. Many, wrestling their first tournaments. Most elementary programs are wrapping up, but are always welcoming of new athletes.
