Nearly sixty Fire Halls across the province are carrying something extra when responding to an emergency. Along with the special life saving equipment, rescue crews are carrying Trauma Pups to give away to children. Fire Departments are finding the stuffed animals an effective tool when it comes to supporting children in distress. Last year in BC over 11 hundred Trauma Pups were given away to children between the ages of infant to twelve. The Trauma Pups program is supported by Fortis BC. Each year 12 hundred pups are made to help children through a traumatic event.
