Crimestoppers Awards Made

Two Crimestoppers Awards were handed out this afternoon. A brief ceremony was held at the RCMP detachment to hand out an award to “D” Watch for those officers efforts, led by Staff Sergeant Carlos Tettolowski. Their efforts to follow up on tips lead to more arrests and charges in 2016 than any other Watch. It’s the first time “D” Watch has won the award.
Also, Constable Derek Rondeau was awarded the Officer of the Year award from the Crimestoppers Board for his efforts to follow up on leads. Over the past year, dozens of charges were made as a result of following up on a Crimestoppers tip.
