The Prince George Spruce Kings closed to within seven points of third place Langley Friday night, beating the Rivermen 5 – 2. It was the Kings second win in two nights on their road trip in the lower mainland.
Prince George erupted for the first four goals of the game. They chased Langley netminder Bo Didur at the 12:41 mark of the opening period. Didur made just three saves before he was relieved. Five different Spruce Kings scored in the win while the powerplay went 2 for 8.
