A business that has been in serving Prince George for almost 60 years is being swallowed up by a competitor. ‘Spee Dee Printers’ has become part of the Mills Office Productivity chain. A news release calls the transaction a merger; however Spee Dee’s name will disappear at its four current locations in Northern BC. The Owner of Spee Dee was looking to ease into retirement. He has known the owners of ‘Mills’ for 20 years. With the acquisition, Mills Office Productivity says it has become the second-largest independent office supply retailer in Canada. No job losses are expected from the transition.
