A blast of winter weather hit much of the northern part of the province Friday morning, with snowfall continuing throughout the day.
The weather has ICBC warning drivers to take it slow on the roads this family day long weekend after, 20 people were injured in 160 crashes in the North Central region last year.
ICBC say on Monday they received twice the amount of claims calls than usual.
On Friday, many drivers were seen taking it slow on the snowy roads.
The corporation suggests you know your route before taking off and have the right set of winter tires.
Thursday, a fatal collision took place on Highway 27 near Fort Saint James, with weather conditions potentially playing a role according to police.
You are also required to brush off all snow on your vehicle before driving.
