The 32nd annual FrancoFun Winter festival kicks off in Prince George Saturday.
The week long event, hosted by Le Cercle des Canadiens Francais de Prince George will feature music, workshops and art exhibits.
The annual sugarshack tradition will close the festival next weekend.
Maple taffy, is a long standing cultural tradition in Quebec, where boiling maple syrup is rolled in snow to create a sugary treat.
In collaboration with Coldsnap, the group will kick the festival off with a concert at the Ramada hotel Saturday night.
The event will celebrate both the French and English language.
