Timberwolves Dropped By The Huskies

The UNBC Timberwolves didn’t fair too well against the University of Saskatchewan Huskies on Friday night.

The Huskies got the better of the T-wolves in both contests.

The UNBC women’s team dropped a close one 72-65.

A pair of Kylie Pozniak triples got the UNBC offense rolling, while Megan Ahlstrom led the way for the Huskies. She had 11 points at halftime, while the Timberwolves held a slight 35-31 advantage.

As for the men, they were downed 89-59 at the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre.

UNBC Head Coach Todd Jordan says his team didn’t have enough energy to compete.

“It was pretty unacceptable from everybody tonight.” said Jordan.

“I don’t know if we were down on ourselves after a tough series last week at UBC, but our energy level was very low tonight”.

The regular season finale will go tonight at 5PM for the women and 7PM for the men.
