 Independent Watchdog Examines Complaints Against The RCMP

There are more concerns being raised about the conduct of RCMP officers in northern British Columbia. A report released by an independent commission identified poor investigation practices within the 35 detachments across the north. The Civilian Review Complaints Commission found 46 percent of all missing person cases were not followed up promptly and thoroughly. From 2008 to 2012, 49 percent high risk cases, were not investigated promptly or thoroughly.
