A 41 year old man from the Lower mainland has been arrested after fleeing from Prince George Mounties.
RCMP attempted to pull a vehicle over at a traffic stop on Hwy 97 shortly before 8:30 a.m. but failed, after the man didn’t stop.
Mounties did not pursue the vehicle when it fled the scene.
Minutes later, police say they received a call notifying them of a man crashing his car, with the same decription, into a ditch at the intersection of Northwood Pulpmill Road and Noranda Road and fleeing the scene.

The man is still in police custody and will be held to face charges relating to fleeing from police as well as breaching a number of court imposed conditions from unrelated incidents.
The man’s name has not been released.
