After having their silent auction items stolen during the middle of the week, the Rocky Mountain Rangers Army Cadets were in for a big surprise this weekend.
Canadian Tire offered them a free shopping spree to replace the items.
Meanwhile, The Prince George Spruce Kings also raised $1,200 for the Rocky Mountain Rangers at their annual team awards banquet and gala on Friday.
Overnight Wednesday, thieves ransacked the Fore Bistro at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club, where the items were being held and stole a couple thousand dollars worth.
The 10th annual silent auction for the Rangers was held last night.
