The Two Rivers Gallery is encouraging residents to attend its annual general meeting tonight. It’s a chance for people to hear what the gallery has been up to for the past year. “We ended at a great point financially which is reassuring,” says the Managing Director, Carolyn Holmes. “We have had some wonderful exhibitions throughout the year, we have had some great programs; as always. Our Maker Lab community is growing.”
The art gallery is predicting another prosperous year in 2017. The event will include the release of the gallery’s 5-year strategic plan. It kicks off at 7:30 p.m. in the atrium, and refreshments will be provided.
“I think the whole plan is exciting, and you don’t often think of annual general meetings as being exciting,” says Holmes. “We are looking at ways to reach out and to engage deeply with individuals. Then to enhance our capacity as an organization. Then finally one of our goals is to inspire people in the community.”
