PTSD Bill Gains Government Support

A private members bill to develop a national framework to support First Responders impacted by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, has passed another important stage in the House of Commons. The governing Liberals announced they would support the bill with some amendments.
The second reading of the bill will be voted on Wednesday. Once passed, the bill will go to the Committee stage. That’s when the Liberals will introduce their proposed amendments.
The bill was introduced by Cariboo Prince George MP Todd Doherty. He welcomed the Liberal support but cautioned against too many changes.
