Quesnel River Bridge Considerably Damaged

A hit and run collision has caused substantial damage to the Quesnel River Bridge. Around 50 feet of railing and cement on the southbound portion of the bridge has been damaged.

Left behind at the site was: dual wheel impressions , aluminum and broken plastic which RCMP say is likely from a light bar and front bumper of a semi truck.

Police believe a large truck struck the railing and did not report the incident. The damage is reported to be upwards of 20 thousand dollars.

RCMP are looking for any information that will lead them to whoever is responsible for the incident. Anyone who may have information, or witnessed anything regarding the crash is encouraged to phone Quesnel RCMP, or crime stoppers.
