City Counsel Opts to Dissolve Homeless Committee in Favour of New Entity

Prince George, BC, Canada / CKPG News

City Council has opted to dissolve its ‘Select Committee on Homelessness and Affordable Housing’ after a decade. Instead, a new entity has been created, looking at a broader range of social issues. The new Select Committee on a Healthy City looks at a host of issues, including homelessness and affordable housing. The group will better reflect what has been identified in the ‘My-PG Social Development Strategy.’ Chair Murry Krause says, in no way, does this suggest the issue of homelessness and affordable housing has been resolved in Prince George.
