ICBC has teamed up with the Prevent Alcohol and Risk-Related Trauma in Youth (P.A.R.T.Y) program to fund programming that shows youth 15 and older the effects of drinking and driving that lead to serious crashes
The $25,000 agreement allows youth to go through what a serious crash looks like, speak with first responders and see what the rehabilitation stage entails.
$5,750 will go towards the P.A.R.T.Y program in Prince George.
ICBC say 6 youth are killed in crashes in Northern BC every year, with 390 being injured.
The corporation says more than 7,000 youth across British Columbia are helped through the program, 1,100 in Northern BC.
The program helps close to 1100 youth in many regions of northern BC and relies strictly on grants and donations.
