Cedars Beat Rivals For 9th At Provincials

It was a north central zone finals rematch, and again the Cedars Christian School senior girls basketball team came out on top.

This time it was 9th place on the line at ‘A’ provincials as Cedars beat Valemount 68-57.

Jenna van Delft exploded offensively for Cedars, putting up 36 points while playing a strong game on the defensive end as well.

Kyla Giesbrecht had a big 4th quarter and finished with 16 points.

Amy Bjarnason was named player of the game, scoring 5 points and providing key defensive minutes.

“Very proud of my girls and how they showed on the provincial stage. They made a lot of fans with their defense, character and hustle,” said Cedars head coach Jeff Ludditt.
