Spruce Kings Keep Their Playoff Hopes Alive Again

The Prince George Spruce Kings picked up a massive victory in Game 5 of their opening round playoff series against the best in the BCHL, the Wenatchee Wild.

Three straight games were played at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena , with the Spruce Kings picking up must-wins in the final two.

A 3-1 victory last night was in large part to Tavin Grant’s 31 saves on 32 shots. Grant has 81 saves over his last two playoff starts.

Ty Johnson notched his 4th of the post season, before Ben Brar put the white, red and blue up 2-0. The Wild would answer back but it would be Jarod Hovde sealing the deal late with an empty netter.

The team hit the road after their win last night down to Wenatchee for Game 6 Sunday night, with puck drop set for 8:05 P.M.
