An analyst with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives will be the keynote speaker at a series of regional meetings focusing on forestry issues. Ben Parfitt will be joined by speakers from the Indigenous and forestry union communities.
The meetings are expected to highlight the desire to develop a stronger value added forest industry. The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives recently released a study on the issue.
Tonight’s meeting is scheduled for room 1-306 at the College of New Caledonia at 7:00pm. Meetings are also scheduled through the week across the region.
