Living Library At CNC A Hit

Thirteen “authors” from a dozen countries around the world spent an afternoon meeting with students, faculty and staff at the College of New Caledonia. It was part of the “Global Living Library.”
“The Global Living Library is about offering an amazing opportunity for people to interact at a different level and discuss diversity” said Romana Pasca, International Project Planner at CNC. “You can travel through a dozen countries and discover new and amazing perspectives on cultures, beliefs, and lifestyles while challenging your own biases and perceptions.”
Some of the themes were: “Dracula: a Romanian Vampire?” and “Colombia: The Country of Narcos and Cocaine.”
The College has hosted other events looking at some of the more cultural diversities in different countries, but the globalized nature of politics in this day and age prompted organizers to tweak nature of this event to paint pictures of the countries from those who come from them.
