Prince George RCMP and Fire Crews were on scene of a four vehicle collision in the east bound lanes of Highway 16, coming down Peden Hill.
The collision happened around 8:00 p.m. and caused significant damage to all vehicles involved.
The highway has been closed since the time of the crash and is expected to re-open shortly.
There is currently no word on any injuries.
As crews arrived on scene, Westbound traffic was down to one lane, which led to a follow-up crash.
A four door sedan slammed into the back of the Fire Chief’s SUV, causing damage to both vehicles.
Tow trucks were seen taking the vehicles away.
The cause of the collision at this time is still under investigation.
