Bob Dylan will take to the CN Centre stage July 22nd at 8 p.m.
Rolling Stone calls him [along with James Brown] the most influential American musician in rock & roll for almost 50 years. Last year, he became the first songwriter to win a Nobel Prize for Literature.
“We have been trying for at least 10 years to try to get Bob Dylan to come up to Northern BC, and for whatever reason things just turned out, ” says the General Manager of the CN Centre, Glen Mikkelsen. “In fact, he turns 76 years old this May. So undoubtedly this will be the one and only time that Bob Dylan comes to Prince George. We still have people talking about when Elton John came through 7 years ago; in 2010. This will be that type of night where people say ‘Yes, I saw Bob Dylan in Prince George’ years from now.”
Mikkelsen says the CN Centre can host up to 4,800 people at a full house concert. “People might be expecting that tickets might cost upwards of $200 or more, but –to Bob Dylan’s credit– tickets are very reasonable. Tickets are $65 and $85 plus service charges, so we anticipate a high demand for these tickets.”
Tickets go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. For more information call Ticketmaster at 1-855-985-5000.
