On Sunday March 19th, police responded to reports of a man pointing a firearm on Claxton Cresent. The incident occurred at approximately 10:40 AM, and the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.
Shortly after police were notified of the incident, they located the suspect near the corner of Enemark Crescent, and Ospika Boulevard. The driver refused to stop, and fled from police at a high speed.
At around noon, the suspect was arrested on foot near the corner of Westwood Drive and Ferry Avenue. The vehicle was seized as part of the investigation. Police searched the suspects vehicle, and residence and no firearm was found , but over 7500 hundred dollars worth of clothing was seized from the suspect’s residence, believed to have been stolen from a Domano Boulevard business earlier this month.
31 year-old Samuel Jacob Chapman, has been charged with two counts of possession of a control substance, and possession of property obtained by crime over $500. Chapman will appear in provincial court on March 22nd.
