Northern Health Announces New Registration Program in Rural Communities

Prince George, BC, Canada / CKPG News

Northern Health has announced the launch of a new registration program in rural communities. Currently, University Hospital of Northern BC is the only facility that offers after-hours patient registration. But beginning this month, at ten facilities like the G.R. Baker Hospital in Quesnel, after-hours patients can automatically connect with registration nurses. The new system will improve a patient’s access to care in a timely manner. During a pilot of the program, 27,000 patients used the system. In May, another twelve facilities will be added.
