A fundraiser at the legion tonight will be raising money for flood victims in Peru.
Peruvian Anti-poverty Action Society President Giulliana Tamblyn is organizing the event and says the money is to help those affected in her home country by El Nino.
The event starts at 6:00 p.m with tickets costing $35.
Tamblyn says they hope to raise $30,000 to acquire basic supplies for the victims that have been without homes since the flooding began in January.
Tamblyn is originally from Peru and wants to help the people back in Tambogrande, which is a town in the Piura province, in northern Peru.
She adds that over 30,000 families have been effected by either flooding or mudslides.
