City To Launch "Friendlier" Website

The City is launching a new website early next week. City residents and businesses gave the City a loud and clear message just over a year ago: the current website is cumbersome and difficult to navigate. So, it has been totally re-vamped to make it more informative and engaging to use.
“Over the last 18 months, staff has completely re-built the City website, creating a new navigational structure, updating and consolidating content on individual web pages, improving access to popular City services presenting information about events,” says Rob van Adrichem, Director of External Relations.
It will also be more mobile-friendly. The website gets an average of 400,000 hits per year, and those who re-built the site are interested in seeing how that will change.
Creating a better website was also one of Council’s top ten items on its wish list.
