Horgan Swings Through PG

NDP Leader John Horgan make a quick stop at Nancy O’s this morning, on the campaign trail. He spoke to the party-faithful about a wide range of issues, from raw log exports and post-secondary education. As for health care, Horgan sung the praises of the Blue Pine medical clinic, created to help those who have no family physician.
But he took a jab from Prince George-Valemount Liberal candidate Shirley Bond about his absence from the North for the first two weeks of the campaign.
“John Horgan spent the first 15 days ignoring all British Columbians north of 50,” said Bond. “While Christy Clark has been travelling the entire province, John Horgan is only coming here after being pushed into it by media.”
but Horgan rebutted, by saying he has been to he region multiple time in the past, saying the campaign is not a foot race.
“I’m  excited to be here today with a whole bunch of enthusiastic people at Nancy O’s. I’m excited about the next 12 days as I go to the Coast, the Island, the Interior,” he said. “It’s not about when did you get here, it’s about what you’re going to do when you form government.”
After his visit to Prince George, Horgan made tracks for the Cariboo.
