Two Prince George Candidates Cast Ballots

Liberal candidate for Prince George – Valemount cast her ballot Saturday for the provincial election on May 9th.

Shirley Bond says it’s quite emotional to see her name on the ballot. as she cast her vote at the Elder Citizens Recreation Association.

Bond adds that seeing voters out casting their ballots is exciting.

“It’s fantastic to see so many people here on the first day of advanced poll, and I think that means voting matters to British Columbians.” said Bond.

Meanwhile, Bobby Deepak, the New Democrats nominee for Prince George – Mackenzie cast his ballot at Christ Our Saviour Church Hall, up in the Hart.

He says he’s glad there are 6 days of advanced polls.

“People are starting to make up their minds right now and I’ve done a lot of door knocking and I’m going to work hard up to May 9th.” said Deepak.
